At present, she is a Researcher in Instituto Politécnico de Bragança. She has a post-doctorate in Creative Tourism from Landscape, Heritage and Territory Laboratory (Lab2PT - University of Minho). She got her PhD in Geography, in 2017 at University of Minho. She got her Master in Regional Development at Fundação Regional de Blumenau (Brazil, 2009). She is member of Lab2PT (Laboratory of Landscape, Heritage and Territory) at University of Minho and Turismo e Território Group in Universidade da Região de Joinville - Univille. She was coordinator of Departament of Gastronomy in Univille (Brazil) from 2014 to 2018 and was professor in this University, teaching tourism, research methods and entrepreneurship. From 2016-2018 was President of City Council Tourism from Joinville (Brazil).
