Paula Odete Fernandes
PhD in Economics and Management (2005). She has been a Professor of Management at the Polytechnic Institute of Bragança (IPB), Portugal, since 1992. She is a researcher and Scientific Coordinator of UNIAG-Applied Management Research Unit (since 2013) and was previously a researcher at NECE-Research Unit in Business Sciences (University of Beira Interior) from 2010 to 2017. She has participated in 25 national and international R&D projects, including 11 as Principal Investigator, and has supervised three PhD theses and more than 165 master’s dissertations. She has authored over 250 scientific publications, including 196 indexed in Scopus and Web of Science, published in peer-reviewed journals, book chapters and conference proceedings. Her work has been widely presented at international scientific conferences. She has received 12 Best Paper Awards in Marketing and Strategy, Tourism, Econometric Methods and Regional Analysis, and serves on the Programme Boards and Organising Committees of international conferences, as well as acting as a reviewer for several academic journals. Research focus: tourism and regional and cross-border development dynamics; strategic management and entrepreneurship; marketing and market research; quantitative methods and data analytics (econometrics, importance-performance analysis, artificial neural networks); corporate social responsibility and sustainability; higher education quality, assessment and policy.
