Nino Matos da Fonseca is an Adjunct Professor of Economics at the Polytechnic Institute of Viana do Castelo. He holds a Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Extremadura, a Postgraduate degree in Quantitative Methods Applied to Economics from the University of Minho, and a Bachelor's degree in Economics from the University of Évora. He is an integrated researcher at the Applied Management Research Unit (UNIAG), with research interests in economic growth, tourism economics, sustainable tourism development, applied econometrics, causality, meta-analysis, and meta-regression analysis. He has published several articles in top-tier journals in the aforementioned fields, as well as books and book chapters. In 2021, he was recognized with the Thea Sinclair Award for Journal Article Excellence and is also a reviewer for several well-known and prestigious scientific journals.
