PhD in Engineering and Management (2012), Professor of Informatics at the Polytechnic Institute of Bragança, Portugal, since December 1999. He is researcher at UNIAG (Applied Management Research Unit, since 2013) and at the Centre for Innovation, Technology and Policy Research – IN+ (Instituto Superior Técnico, 2004-2012). He participated in 10 international and national R&D projects (5 as Responsible Researcher). He published more than 60 publications in peer-reviewed journals, book chapters and proceedings, and has several communications at international scientific conferences. He is president of TRANSTEC (Technology Transfer Association) since 2015. His current research interest is in Information Systems, Software development, Entrepreneurship, Techno-economic models and Game-Theory models, Business Intelligence, Big Data and decision support systems.
