Elga Cristina Vilela Viana Pereira da Costa

She has a degree in Comparative Literature from Fernando Pessoa University (1990-1994), an MA in Teaching Spanish for Specific Purposes from the Faculty of Letters of the University of Porto (2013) and a PhD in Hispanic Studies from the University of Glasgow (2003). In 2010, she attended a post-doctoral course at the Faculty of Engineering of the University of Porto, in the Department of Management and Industrial Engineering, where she carried out research on "Narrative Analysis Methodology for Case Study Analysis in Entrepreneurship". She was a lecturer at Fernando Pessoa University from 1994 to 1998. She has been a lecturer at the Escola Superior de Hotelaria e Turismo do P.Porto since 2001, and is also a member of the Technical-Scientific Council, the Pedagogical Council and the Teachers' Performance Assessment Committee. She was coordinator of the postgraduate course in "Management of Tourism Units in Rural Areas" at the School of Industrial and Management Studies (ESEIG/IPP). At P.Porto, from January 2016 to September 2017, she also held the position of Pro-President for the Tourism area, as well as Coordinator of the Porto School Hotel - a Hotel-School project developed in partnership with Jase Hotels & Resorts - aimed at Specialized Training in the areas of Tourism, Hospitality and Catering.
